Paule's friend Max has disappeared. The adults are helpless. Only Paule suspects where her friend might be. She finds the magic Christmas book again and Max's school bag right next to it. Meanwhile, Beutolomäus is being held by Ruprecht. Beutolomäus absolutely has to free himself and put a stop to the fake Santa. But he can't possibly do it alone.
